A new sandwich spot opening in Hamilton promises hefty handhelds inspired by some of the best sandwich scenes in the world.
Mel’s Deli is the latest venture by Nom Nom Nom Hospitality – the team behind Get Your Own Taters and Tom’s BBQ – and they’ll be launching officially in the Collective Arts Hamilton Taproom (207 Burlington Street East) beginning February 12th.
The menu is “inspired by the cafes of Italy, New York bodegas, and the sandwich scenes of Quebec, St. Martin, and Paris,” and features something to appease pretty much anyone.
Just some of what to expect includes breakfast sandwiches like the Longanisa Sausage with omelette, pickled green papaya, and American cheese; hoagies like the Italian Trio with capocollo, salami, prosciutto, mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, white onion, lettuce, bomba, and garlic mayo; or classics like the Reuben with Montreal smoked meat, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and 1000 Islands dressing.
Vegetarian sandwiches, deli-style salads, and sides of kettle chips round things off on an appealing menu we can’t wait to check out for ourselves!
