From celebrating cacti, to partying with peaches, Hamilton and its surrounding communities really know their festivals.
Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) announced Ontario’s 2018 Top 100 Festivals & Events yesterday and seven of Hamilton’s popular festivals were listed as must-attend events.
To make the list, each festival has to represent a field that really shines within its industry, and a team of judges oversaw the selection process by reviewing submissions from last fall.
“This wonderful recognition highlights a select group of Hamilton’s diverse festivals and events that help grow and attract visitors to discover all that Hamilton has to offer,” said Anna Bradford, director, Tourism and Culture Division.
Hamilton’s festivals and events that made the Top 100 2018 list are:
Dundas International Buskerfest – June 1 to 3, 2018
Re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek – June 2 to 3, 2018
It’s Your Festival – June 30 to July 2, 2018
Dundas Cactus Festival – Aug. 17 to 19, 2018
Winona Peach Festival – Aug. 24 to 26, 2018
Supercrawl – Sept. 14 to 16, 2018
Telling Tales Festival – Sept. 16, 2018
Hamilton is full of public service workers and volunteers who help make these events and festivals the success they’ve been each year.
