With the arrival of summer and the undoubtedly balmy days ahead, Hamilton’s public splash pads are officially open and ready to refresh you.
Beginning over the Victoria Day long weekend and lasting until the end of September, the free-to-use splash pads located at numerous Hamilton parks and playgrounds begin to be fully operational and accessible to those who want to cool off.
Typically open from 10 am to 8 pm each day, splash pads are located in Waterdown Park, Gage Park, Village Green Park, Fairgrounds Community Park, Pier 4 Park, Heritage Green Sports Park, Winona Park, Waterford Park, and other public spots.
During heat events, many city splash pads will be open for slightly extended hours from 9 am to 9 pm.
The city website also features an interactive map of all splash pad locations in Hamilton and their current status, so locals can look for the park or playground closest to them.
