What could be better than watching a movie under the stars?
That’s exactly the experience you’ll have if you head down to Hamilton’s Pier 8 this evening, where Pier 8 Pop-Ups, The Playhouse Cinema, and Girl on the Wing are presenting a screening of the 2003 Richard Linklater film School of Rock.
The fun begins at around 7:45 pm at Pier 8’s big yellow Gantry Crane at the base of Catharine St N with a pre-movie rock show by Noise Pollution Rock School. Then, the movie is set to begin when the sun sets around 8:45 pm to 9 pm.
The screening is total free to attend, and snacks like popcorn and drinks will be available onsite to purchase, as well as delicious ice cream creations by Real Fruity Ice Cream.
Some seating will be provided, but locals are also invited to bring their own folding chairs. Washrooms will be on site as well.
With the end of summer fast approaching, this is a great way to enjoy a fun, free activity at Hamilton’s lovely Pier 8!
