Hamilton Bike Share – the organization which operates the city’s social bicycle infrastructure – is asking locals to be on the lookout for three stolen tricycles.
The three recumbent trikes are part of Hamilton Bike Share’s fleet and are intended to help community members who are unable to ride a two-wheel bicycle access cycling.
Two of the trikes – TerraTrike Charges – are dark blue e-assist recumbents stolen without their batteries on them; additionally, one of them has a special headrest on it.
The third stolen trike – a TerraTrike Rambler – has an orange body that is operated manually by pedals.
“We are hopeful that we can recover them so they can be placed back in the shared adaptive fleet,” reads a message from Hamilton Bike Share on social media.
Locals are asked to keep their eye out for the stolen trikes around Hamilton, and any sightings of them in the city or online can be reported by calling 289-768-2453 with any details.
