Caffeine lovers, take note: one of Toronto’s most popular coffee shops has freshly brewed up its first Hamilton location.
Dark Horse Espresso has been a prominent fixture of Toronto’s independent café scene since 2006, and their first Hamilton café is in an interesting location: replacing the former Starbucks inside the Indigo bookstore at 1783 Stone Church Road East in Stoney Creek.
Visitors can expect all the usual suspects for hand-crafted coffee and espresso drinks – lattes, Americanos, cortados, and beyond – plus teas, grab & go sandwiches, and coffee brewing gear.
The café also features an array of savoury and sweet baked goods by Hamilton’s own Dear Grain Bakery including croissants, cookies, scones and more.
The Hamilton Mountain and Stoney Creek area don’t have much in the way of great independent coffee shops, so it’s exciting to see this well-established indie café make an arrival!
