Two homegrown Hamilton events are bringing exciting live theatre and dance to the city this weekend.
First is the world premiere of Fertility, a new play by Hamilton’s Light Echo Theatre that runs from April 24th to 27th at Theatre Aquarius (190 King William Street).
A show written and performed by professional artists from the region, Fertility endeavours to bring the often-private topics of fertility, menstruation, abortion, infertility, miscarriage, trans identity, menopause, and more to a public space in ways that are funny, moving, intense, raw, and deeply honest.
This powerful, timely show is not to be missed, and tickets are available on the Theatre Aquarius website.
If dance is more your thing, acclaimed dance company Aeris Körper is hitting the stage with their annual Here & Now Festival from April 25th to 27th at McMaster University’s L.R. Wilson Hall (1280 Main Street West).
A three-day event celebrating Hamilton’s vibrant dance community, expect live performances, workshops, and work-in-progress presentations from local performers and choreographers who are exploring intriguing new pathways in dance and movement.
Tickets are available for all festival events on the Aeris Körper website.
