Two Hamilton breweries win big at Ontario Brewing Awards

Hamilton’s got a standout craft beer scene; a fact that has been further proven by two of the city’s favourite breweries raking in some prizes at the 2022 Ontario Brewing Awards.

The first is Clifford Brewing Company, East Hamilton’s exceptional brewery known best for its well-decorated Clifford Porter: a dark and roasty sipper that has won numerous provincial and national awards in recent years.

The second is West Hamilton’s beloved Grain & Grit Beer Co., which is known for its ever-changing lineup of inventive sours, IPAs, lagers, and more brewed in small, limited batches.

Clifford won silver in the Brown British Beer category at the 2022 Ontario Brewing Awards for its eponymous porter, and Grain & Grit was also awarded silver in its Pale Bitter European Beer category for its Little Thrills German-style pilsner.

It’s so exciting to see these two standout Hamilton breweries get well-deserved, province-wide recognition for their delicious work!
