VIDEO: This is how Hamilton LRT will be constructed

Though Hamilton’s forthcoming Light Rail Transit (LRT) infrastructure hasn’t formally broken ground yet, a new video has been released that will give locals a better idea of how its construction is expected to go.
The video, released by transit agency Metrolinx, shows a 3D rendering of the involved process of constructing an LRT line.
It takes viewers step by step through the phases of construction, from initial preparation to final product.

Though the video doesn’t show the process in the context of Hamilton specifically, it should give locals a solid idea of what to expect once the process of building Hamilton’s LRT line officially begins.
“This video is just one general example of how utilities like sewers and gas lines are laid out,” reads a message from Metrolinx.
“With different road and utility layouts along the Hamilton LRT route, different construction approaches may be needed in some areas and the final layout may look different than what’s shown in the video.”
