Owned and operated by Ann Merritt and Ban Markos, Hamilton small business You and I Paint has quickly become an in-demand event company all across Southern Ontario after just a few short years of operation.
On top of hosting events accessible to the public with a focus on relaxing, fun, stimulating paint and wine nights hosted in some of the region’s most idyllic vineyards, farmlands, and venues, the company has also begun booking custom private events with corporate clients.
It’s not hard to see the appeal: paint events are an excellent way of combining valuable team-building, collaboration, teamwork, creative innovation, and socializing while focusing on some low-pressure artistic fun.
Merritt and Markos have turned You and I Paint into a fully mobile affair by bringing their entire set-up with them to any event site in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area – including paint supplies and beverages – and taking the lead on hosting a memorable, fun event suitable for as few as 10 people or as many as 100.
As part of the event, participants will get to paint their own take-home canvas or tote bag in a stress-relieving workshop guided by professional artists that’s suitable for anyone regardless of age, gender, or artistic skill level.
Uniquely, You and I Paint can also customize the theme of each corporate paint event to tie it more directly to the client’s company if desired; company logos, colours, themes, and branding can all be part of the paint experience.
You and I Paint already has some high-profile clients under their belt already including Deloitte Canada, TD Canada Trust, Royal Bank of Canada, the Toronto Blue Jays, BioSync, and Visit California as well as multiple law firms, real estate agencies, retirement homes, dental organizations, and much more across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area.
Their events have become especially popular over the holiday season. As company Christmas parties and end-of-year gatherings become a near daily occurrence throughout November and December, You and I Paint becomes a particularly hot commodity with bookings filling up well in advance!
From humble beginnings as a scrappy small business built in Hamilton just a few years ago, You and I Paint has already well established itself not just as a premier event company, but as an in-demand provider of engaging, positive, and unique corporate events that are just as good at relieving stress and offering a creative outlet as they are at strengthening teamwork and connection in the workplace.

Relying on appearing, photographing and dazzling the audience, but it is not real art. Whoever wants real art, there are real schools in the colleges and the Hamilton Gallery, adding exaggerated prices to the individual. An excellent project for making money, but not for presenting real art.

Art takes many forms, and while some may appreciate traditional art institutions, others find value in diverse artistic expressions and experiences. Different avenues exist for experiencing and creating art, each with its unique merits.

A profitable and entertaining project that only needs people who want entertainment. The idea of having alcohol is a smart idea that connects people with pleasure so that they are attracted and make money!!

I have been to their public classes before and would give them 10 stars if I could. Have you maybe considered that a combination of art and social activities is a great way to bring people together and create a vibrant atmosphere?
