Zellers announces menu for their nostalgic food truck

After iconic Canadian shopping brand Zellers announced that it would be returning as shops within Hudson’s Bay storefronts, one question was repeated again and again: what about the restaurant?
The fact is, when Canadians think of Zellers, a lot of them also think of the famous Zellers Restaurant that offered up diner-style comfort food back in the day.
While opening full-scale restaurants to accompany the return of Zellers isn’t in the cards, the nostalgic Canadian brand recently announced that they’d be bringing back a handful of restaurant favourites through special Zellers Restaurant food trucks.
Bringing a bit of democratic process into the mix, Zellers allowed the public to vote on which select dishes they’d most like to see make a return; and now, the official menu for the forthcoming Zellers food truck has been announced.
The dishes making a return in the food truck will be the Big Z Burger, hot chicken sandwich, grilled cheese, chicken fingers, and fries with gravy: all classic, simple comfort foods that’ll undoubtedly feel like a major throwback.
Zellers will be returning to two-dozen Hudson’s Bay locations across Canada, including some in the Hamilton area like Burlington, Mississauga, and St. Catharines.
