Zellers sees its grand reopening including diner food truck

Today’s the day: Canada’s nostalgic shopping brand Zellers is seeing its grand reopening, with stores opening within Hudson’s Bay locations all over Ontario.

On Thursday, March 23rd, Zellers has reopened to sell its iconic wares – including clothing and apparel, home goods, toys, and pet items – in select cities as well as through e-commerce on Zellers.ca

Though Hamilton itself is not getting a Zellers of its own, there are locations opening nearby in places like Burlington at Burlington Mall, Mississauga at Erin Mills Town Centre, and St. Catharines in Pen Centre Shopping Plaza.

Accompanying the Zellers relaunch is the Zellers Diner on Wheels: a food truck from which visitors will be able to get their hands on nostalgic comfort foods remembered from Zellers’ famous in-store restaurants.

The food truck will feature items like the Big Z Burger, hot chicken sandwich, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, and fries & gravy; all of which will be made in the food truck fresh to-order.

Hamiltonians who want to get their taste of what the Diner on Wheels has to offer can catch it in Mississauga on Saturday, March 25th; or in Burlington and St. Catharines on Sunday, March 26th.
