The site features landmarks such as the Lift Bridge, Historical Lighthouse, Skyway Bridge, Breakwater piers, and the Canadian Center for Inland Waters.<\/p>\n\n<p>The area used to be a buzzing center for commercial activity, and a popular attraction for those travelling through Hamilton and Burlington.<\/p>\n<p>With the twinning of the QEW in 1985, many of the retail structures were removed and the area has lost a lot of it&#8217;s original charm.<\/p>\n<p>HOPA hopes to return this area to its former beauty with improvements to several areas.
