Break out the shovels: Hamilton is about to get hit with its first true snowstorm of the winter season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A weather advisory<\/a> has been issued by Environment Canada explaining that Hamilton could see between 5 to 10 cm of snowfall beginning Friday evening, with peak snowfall rates of 2 to 5 cm per hour.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The snowfall will be accompanied by strong gusts of wind up to 70 km\/h creating reduced visibility and difficult travel conditions for drivers and pedestrians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the snow may transition to periods of rain as temperatures rise above freezing throughout the evening.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
