Flying to destinations in Atlantic Canada from Hamilton is about to get more difficult.
Major Canadian airline WestJet has announced that they will be discontinuing flights from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport to key destinations in the East Coast including St. John’s, Newfoundland and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The removal of those destinations will be in effect as of July 1st, and those impacted by the cancelled flights will be refunded in full to their original form of payment.

In additional to these cancellations, the airline will be reducing its flight service from Hamilton to Orlando, Florida.
Hamiltonians will still be able to take advantage of Air Canada Landline’s luxury motorcoach service out of Hamilton’s airport to Toronto’s Pearson Airport, where they’ll be able to connect with many destinations in Eastern Canada and well beyond.
