With a hot summer to come, locals will be excited to hear that Hamilton’s outdoor public pools have opened for the 2024 season.
As of June 28th, ten of the city’s outdoor pools are open for daily drop-in programs and will remain open each day until September 2nd as weather permits.
The outdoor pools now open include Ancaster Lions, Birge, Green Acres, Inch Park, Rosedale, Parkdale, Walker, Chedoke, Coronation, and Victoria. A list of their locations and summer schedules can be found on the city website.
Stay active and cool this summer by enjoying the City’s outdoor pools opening June 28 and other outdoor programs such as Fitness at the Park and Supie starting on July 2.

Additionally, supervised wading pools are open until August 23rd including Gage Park, Powell Park, Jesse Patterson at Hunter Recreation Centre, and the Andy Warburton Wading Pool. The wading pool at Dundas Driving Park will be open until September 2nd.
“Summer is the perfect time for Hamiltonians of all ages to enjoy the activities and programs provided by the City,” said Mayor Andrea Horwath in a release.
“I encourage everyone, regardless of activity level, to join in the variety of fun offerings available. Let’s stay active and have fun together this summer.”
