A new movie shot here in Hamilton is getting a premiere screening in the city this week.

A Hundred Lies is a new feature-length dramatic thriller produced by Hamilton-based Red Hill Entertainment, and a screening will take place at the Ancaster Memorial Arts Centre (357 Wilson St. E.) on Wednesday, June 5th at 6:30 pm.

Directed by Rouzbeh Heydari with a screenplay by Heydari, Dana Abraham, and Rob Raco, A Hundred Lies follows Ricky, a washed-up musician given a second chance at a career while balancing numerous struggles at once. Things get even more complicated as Ricky teeters towards self-destruction in the wake of his mother’s untimely death.

The cast includes Riverdale actor Rob Raco as Ricky alongside Humberly González (Ginny and Georgia, Netflix), Dana Abraham (Neon Lights), Brandon McKnight (CW’s The Flash), Stephen Tracey (Anne with an E), Michael Xavier (Wildcard), Jessica Amlee (Heartland), and Chase Tang.

Tickets are available on the Ancaster Memorial Arts Centre website for the screening, which also includes a Q&A with the cast and crew and an after-party at Grain & Grit Beer Co.

Can’t make the screening? A Hundred Lies will soon begin streaming on Apple TV+ with a release set for Friday, June 7th!
