Hamilton’s Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway will close for maintenance

Heads up, drivers: the City of Hamilton is temporarily closing the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway in both eastbound and westbound directions for 4 days later this week.

From Friday, May 24th to Monday, May 27th, the parkway will be closed to vehicular traffic to complete annual maintenance including spot resurfacing, asphalt repairs, graffiti removal, repairs to bridges and signage, pavement markings, catch basin cleaning, ditching, and vegetation maintenance.

The eastbound closure will begin on May 24th at 8 am, closing the Linc from Golf Links Road to the Upper Redhill Valley Parkway off-ramp.

The westbound closure begins a touch later at 10 am on May 24th, extending from the Redhill Valley Parkway to Mohawk Road. Detour routes are planned for Stone Church Road and Mohawk Road.

Drivers who need to travel over the coming weekend are advised to plan for alternate routes and expect potential delays in travel times.

The parkway will then fully reopen in both directions on May 27th at 4 am, depending on weather. The city will share progress updates on their website.
