Hamilton’s independent arthouse movie theatre, Playhouse Cinema, is taking its visitors into the Twilight Zone as they celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic science fiction TV show with a unique screening this Saturday.
The Playhouse will be screening The Twilight Zone: A 60th Anniversary Celebration, which celebrates the classic TV show with six quintessential episodes followed by a new documentary short titled Remembering Rod Serling.
This is the first time that any classic Twilight Zone episodes have been presented on the big screen. Film curators combed through 156 episodes of the mind-bending series that aired between 1959 to 1964 to find episodes that were noteworthy fan favourites.

The new documentary shows a window into the life experiences that inspired show creator Rod Serling to create the iconic series. The short documentary starts by looking into his time as a paratrooper in World War II, his early writing days in live television, and the creation of The Twilight Zone.
