New burger spot Goldies Fast Food opens in Hamilton

An enticing new spot for handmade smash burgers, fries, and more has officially opened up shop in Hamilton. 

Goldies Fast Food is now open at 152 James Street South, serving up made-to-order, simple, delicious comfort food built with quality ingredients.

The new takeaway spot is the next project by Joel Soares, one of the founders of the famed Cowabunga Pizza on the Hamilton Mountain and a chef who’s worked stints in fine dining spots like Quatrefoil in Dundas.

A compact menu of burgers is enough to entice, with options like the Gold Standard, topped with bacon, American cheese, caramelized onions, house pickles, and house-made Gold sauce; or the All-American topped with chilli, American cheese, and diced white onion. 

Fried chicken sandwiches, vegan options, loaded fries, and soft serve ice cream sundaes round off the menu, which blends nostalgic fast food vibes with elevated, from-scratch touches like homemade buns and sauces.
