A new cocktail and craft beer bar is opening in Hamilton

If you believe that Hamilton can never have too many fancy cocktail bars, you’re going to be particularly excited about this new spot opening its doors freshly in the new year.
That would be The Side Door, a cozy new West End hipster hole-in-the-wall that’ll be slinging hand-crafted cocktails and pints of the best local craft beer as they open to thirsty Hamiltonians in January 2020.
Teasing a gorgeous aesthetic of woodgrain and soft pastel salmon pinks on their Instagram, The Side Door is promising a striking setting to go with its scrumptious sippables at the bar’s 1831 Main Street West location. Right beside Whitney Plaza on the edge of Dundas, The Side Door is taking over the space most recently occupied by The Wee Dram.
While the bar is officially opening in the new year, The Side Door just hosted a soft-opening sneak peek on Boxing Day, December 26th, to tease their offerings to eager Hamilton cocktail lovers. If you missed your chance at a first look, don’t worry; The Side Door’s official opening is a mere few weeks away!
There’s some considerable buzz surrounding this new spot, so here’s hoping that The Side Door, which adds a splash of refreshingly modern aesthetic to the old-school Whitney Plaza area, becomes a new beloved go-to for locals to whet their whistles!
