Hamilton’s Clifford Brewing is throwing a party for Devil’s Night

If your favourite kind of Halloween treat is of the fermented and drinkable variety, then you’ll definitely want to be at Clifford Brewing Co. this Wednesday night.

The Hamilton-based brewery, which recently won Canadian Brewery of the Year at the Canadian Brewing Awards, is hosting Devil’s Cask Night to celebrate Devil’s Night in style with all kinds of spooky fun and equally spooky cask ales for your sipping pleasure.

Designed for adventurous palates, those two experimental cask ales sound like the perfect pair to accompany some Halloween fun. The first is a Pumpkin Spiced Porter, which sounds like an autumn-spiced cousin of Clifford’s excellent award-winning Porter; and the second is Devil’s Punchbowl, a jacked-up variant of Clifford’s mainstay dry-hopped lager with a specially-added healthy dose of jalapeno peppers.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Clifford is also encouraging Hamiltonians to come in their Halloween best and take part in a costume contest while sipping great local beer, enjoying great tunes courtesy of local musician Sam Heller, filling up on fresh Smithers’ Sausages, and spending the night with your best beer-loving buddies.

Devil’s Cask Night kicks off at Clifford Brewing Co. (398 Nash Road North, Unit 1) on Wednesday October 30th from 6 pm to 9 pm.
