Hamilton proves it’s a major festival city as three of the city’s big annual events took home provincial honours recently.
Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO) just announced their Top 100 Ontario Festivals, and a deserving trio of Hamilton events made the cut for the 2023 list.
Earlier this evening at the FEO "CELEBRATE" Conference Awards Gala, the 2023 FEO Award Winners & the Top 100 Festivals & Events were revealed to an eager audience. This is the first Top 100 since 2020 because of COVID-19. Click on the link to see winners https://t.co/wvpHrCcmF9 pic.twitter.com/YH0iS6CI91

The winning events were Hamilton Winterfest, which brings a vibrant array of winter activities to Hamilton during the dreariest months of the year; Because Beer, which shares the best of Ontario’s craft beer industry; and Supercrawl, the giant music and arts festival that takes over James North for a few days every fall.
Other festivals in the Greater Hamilton Area also made the list this year, including Burlington’s Sound of Music Festival, Winona Peach Festival, and Dundas Cactus Festival.
It was an especially celebratory year for the FEO to recognize the best of Ontario’s festivals, as the awards have been on hiatus for the past two years due to the pandemic.
Winning festivals were announced at the FEO Conference in Niagara Falls between March 6th and 8th.
