Ultra-affordable airline Lynx is coming to Hamilton

Canada’s new ultra-affordable airline is landing in Hamilton this summer.

Lynx Air has announced that they will begin offering flights on their new Boeing 737 planes at Hamilton’s John C. Munro Airport starting on June 29th, with flights to Halifax or Calgary offered to start.

Flights to Halifax are set to be offered twice weekly, and flights to Calgary will start at twice weekly until July 29th, when they will increase to four times weekly.

One-way flights to these locations will start at $49 according to the Lynx website, and a quick glance at the current calendars shows that scheduled flights from Hamilton to either Halifax or Calgary this summer tend to hover a bit above or below the $100 range.

“Lynx is redefining what it means to be an ultra low-cost carrier,” reads a message on the Lynx Air website. “Enjoy ultra low prices, no hidden fees and friendly service everywhere we fly.”
