VIDEO: Another red light runner caught on camera in Hamilton

The madness continues with yet another driver caught running red lights in Hamilton.
A new video posted to Reddit late Wednesday evening by user CharlesBuchinsky shows a motorist blasting through a red light riding along King Street East in downtown Hamilton.
The video, recorded through a nearby car’s front windshield, captures a grey van speeding frantically down the King East strip and completely speeding through the red light with only a brief braking beforehand.

Is this another case of shamelessly reckless driving? Or was the driver in a panic over a legitimate emergency?
“Maybe someone in the car was having a medical emergency?” mentioned Reddit user player_haters_ball. “They did at least brake for the light and wait for no traffic, looked like.”
Though, others comment that, even in an emergency, obeying traffic rules is ultimately the safest approach.
“Back in the day, I used to be on call at the local hospital,” adds user Tederator. “There were a few times when I would be sitting at an empty intersection at 3:00 am waiting for it to turn green. My logic was that it would take longer to explain to the cops than wait at the lights.”
Regardless of the driver’s reasons for speeding along Main Street and disregarding the rules of the road, the footage also comes after a few consecutive days of similarly dismaying footage that shows multiple drivers disregarding the red light outside Hamilton City Hall, or making multiple illegal moves to get on the highway near Columbia International College.
