In a nationwide push from Cadillac Fairview to fight back against the spread of COVID-19, the company has reduced the business hours of its malls and shopping centres across Canada; including Hamilton’s own Lime Ridge Mall.
While not a drastic change, all of Cadillac Fairview’s 19 malls across Canada will temporarily reduce their hours to 11 am to 7 pm daily unless a regularly-scheduled closing hour falls earlier.
In light of recent events related to COVID-19, Cadillac Fairview, as well as our industry peers, will be limiting the hours of operation at our shopping malls: https://t.co/eFgw5vsGxv

The change goes into effect at Lime Ridge Mall beginning today, March 16th, and will continue for two weeks, at which point Cadillac Fairview will reassess the situation based on external factors involving the uncertain near future of coronavirus’ spread in Canada.
While Lime Ridge Mall as a whole has established these reduced hours, it is up to the individual shops and businesses within the shopping centre to establish their own internal hours of operation.
Cadillac Fairview has also jacked up sanitation measures in its malls, including more thorough cleaning procedures and an increase in hand sanitizer stations to be used by guests.
