Shooting in Burlington leaves one man hospitalized with serious injuries

Halton Regional Police are investigating a shooting which took place this morning, June 17th, in the New Street and Walkers Line area.
The incident occurred on Woodview Road at approximately 9:00 am. Two possible suspects fled the scene on foot. One victim has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Halton Police Tactical Rescue Unit and Canine Unit are in the area.

A tweet by Halton Regional Police advised nearby residents to shelter in place. As of 11:00 am, the shelter in place has been lifted.
Witnesses and people with dash cam or home surveillance footage from the area between 8:00 am and 9:45 am are being asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2315 or 2316, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
