A hot sauce expo is heating up Hamilton this weekend

If you’re a connoisseur of all things hot and spicy, you’ll want to get that stomach of steel down to the Hamilton Convention Centre for Heatwave Hot Sauce Expo and find out just how much heat you can really take.
Heatwave plays host to hot sauce makers from across Canada and the United States who are bringing their best big and small batch sauces to Hamilton for your tasting pleasure. Hundreds of hot sauces and other condiments will be available for free sampling, ranging from mild and flavourful to tear-jerking and hyper-hot.
On top of that, food vendors will be on site serving up chicken wings, baked pitas, and more meat and vegan dishes that are ideal vessels for a little bit of a hot sauce kick. When you need a break from the heat, don’t worry: ice cream and local craft beer courtesy of Clifford Brewing will be available to help douse the fire.
Then, if you’re hardcore and want to put those tough taste buds to the test, there are a few contests you can enter including a Hot Wing Eating Competition and a Chilli Pepper Eating Competition.
Basically, this expo is a Hamilton heat-lovers dream spot. So get on down to Heatwave this weekend and eat up!
