An immersive arts festival is on at Hamilton’s waterfront this weekend

Heads up, Hamilton: one of the city’s most exciting and unique winter events is back this weekend only.
Part live performance event, part dope winter party, part choose-your-own-adventure art experience, Frost Bites is back for the 5th consecutive year with a whole new collective of local artists at the helm, creating original short pieces of performance art at a brand new location in Hamilton.
Presented by the Hamilton Fringe Festival, past years of Frost Bites have transformed venues like the Cotton Factory, Barton Village, and New Vision United Church into thrillingly unusual performance venues. This year’s festival takes place at yet another unique spot: the Hamilton Waterfront Trust Centre.
So how does it all work? The price of a ticket gets audience members into the festival for a full three hours, with 7 original site-specific performance pieces by Hamilton artists available to experience.
Each short piece of theatre/dance/interactive art, the longest of which runs just 20 minutes, performs multiple times in a night, and attendees can spend their time trying to catch as many of them as possible as the evening progresses.
Between shows, Hamiltonians can hang out, sip on local craft beer, and enjoy live music and entertainment in the common area until their next performance time.
This year’s diverse, eclectic line-up of performance pieces are created by exciting local companies including Be(e) Right Back Productions, MIXED Theatre, Chasing Shadows Productions, Open Heart, and DeVision.
