Another major event in the city has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hamilton Comic Con has officially been rescheduled to October 2021 according to a statement released on August 18th.
The weekend convention featuring celebrity guests, artist showcases, and original cosplay was supposed to take place on October 17th and 18th, 2020 at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
Unfortunately, based on the current COVID-19 pandemic that is present both in Ontario and around the world, we’ve made the decision to postpone Hamilton Comic Con 2020 for the safety of our fans, vendors, guests and volunteers.

“Management and staff have worked tirelessly behind the scenes with the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and Public Health in an attempt to still deliver a safe event that would have the same HCC spirit we pride ourselves on, but it just isn’t possible at this current time,” read the statement.
Hamilton Comic Con has become a staple event for pop culture fans in the city. The event attracts hundreds of people for its featured exhibitors, comic books, movie cars, cosplay contests, celebrity photo-ops, and autographs.
Vendors and artists confirmed for this year’s event should have already been contacted by Hamilton Comic Con.
Next year’s convention will take place on October 16th and 17th, 2021 at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Tickets are already available on their website.
