A news release was issued on Sunday morning stating that it has been 38 days since their last session on December 19th, 2019.
“Minister (Stephen) Lecce is wrong when he says our strike is about money,” said ETFO president Sam Hammond in the statement.
The news release outlined similar reasons to the other job action that union members have chosen to participate in another one-day strike. Issues include the lack of support for students with special needs, large class sizes and violent incidents occurring in the classroom due to lack of support.
Teachers in Hamilton-Wentworth as well as Peel District will participate in a one-day strike on January 31st, said the union.
