Workshops for kids, seniors coffee meet-ups, movie nights, outdoor markets, and much more are planned as part of the pop-up series, all of which are built to be COVID-safe as well.
“I am thrilled to have the “Pop-Ups at Pier 8” events taking place at the Waterfront Trust Centre throughout the month of August,” said Ward 2 Councillor Jason Farr.
“This outdoor event series has something for everyone, while encouraging residents to explore the waterfront area at Pier 8, which has been undergoing massive upgrades and additions to enhance public access to the water’s edge.”
The next event in the series is a free outdoor screening of the 1984 movie Splash on Thursday, August 12th at 8 pm. Following that on Saturday, August 14th will be a kids workshop at 10 am, followed by an outdoor market featuring Black-owned Hamilton businesses from 12 pm to 5 pm.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg in a robust series of events that run each Thursday to Saturday weekly until the end of August, and some outdoor patios and beergardens running on Fridays and Sundays through to September 17th.
