Hamilton public health has opened up a temporary vaccine clinic offering ‘catch-up vaccinations’ to students in grades 7 to 10 who may have missed their grade 7 vaccinations due to pandemic-related school closures.
The clinic allows eligible local students to get all three of the missed vaccines at once so they’re immunized against Hepatitis B, Meningococcal ACYW-135, and Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
Starting March 29, vaccine catch-up clinics are open to those in grades 7-10 to get their first or second dose of the Grade 7 vaccines (Hepatitis B, HPV, Meningococcal ACYW-135) if they haven’t yet received them due to the pandemic.

The catch-up clinic is being hosted inside the Mountain Vaccine Clinic inside Lime Ridge Mall at 999 Upper Wentworth Street, and vaccinations are available by appointment only with no walk-ins accepted.
Appointments for these catch-up vaccinations can be booked online 14 days in advance via the city website, or by calling 905-974-9848. New appointment dates are added daily, and the clinic’s hours of operation will be adjusted as needed.
The city estimates that more than 15,000 students from grade 7 to 10 will need to receive these catch-up vaccinations during this time period.
