Hamilton public health adds vaccine clinics in schools for students, staff

To make COVID-19 vaccines more accessible to students, families, and staff of Hamilton’s public schools, Hamilton public health is opening some temporary clinics in select schools city-wide.

Between now and February 14th, walk-in vaccine clinics will be available for eligible students, families, and staff ages 5 and up in the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) and Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWCDSB) for first, second, and third doses.

The schools chosen for the clinics are meant to provide as much local coverage as possible, with other schools in the area of the clinics also able to get walk-in doses.

Some of the schools listed as walk-in vaccine clinics on select dates and times include Cathedral High School, Sir Winston Churchill Seconday School, Cathy Wever Elementary School, Central Public School, St. Matthew Catholic Elementary School, W.H. Ballard Elementary School, and Glendale Secondary School, among others.

On top of listing these and other schools, Hamilton public health has also listed which other area schools are eligible to access each respective pop-up clinic.

Eligible individuals can simply show up to the clinic with their OHIP Card to get their first, second, or third dose.

See the full list of schools, dates, and times for the pop-up vaccine clinics on the city website.
