Hamilton spot for vegan fast food closes its doors

One of Hamilton’s most unique food spots has shared the sad news that they’ll be closing their doors.

Bring Me Some made a splash when they first opened in the Hamilton Farmers’ Market in 2020, promising takes on fast food classics like fried chicken sandwiches and burgers made with 100 per cent plant-based ingredients.

The vegan fast food spot later moved out of it’s market stand and into its own restaurant space on the Hamilton Mountain at 638 Concession Street – the former home of Papa Leo’s Restaurant – where it’s held a strong fan base ever since.

However, in spite of their continued popularity, Bring Me Some has announced that their last day of operations will be Friday, May 3rd.

“As y’all know, we have put our heart and soul into every item that has left these doors but we are not invincible to increased rent prices, increased cost of supplies and every road block BMS has had to face while in this location and it is no longer viable to be here,” wrote Bring Me Some in a post on social media.

That said, Bring Me Some promises that it isn’t goodbye forever; the restaurant plans to make an eventual return in some form, and in the meantime, the team is focussing on their other vegan spot – plant-based butcher and deli Nonno’s in the Hamilton Farmers’ Market – as well as bringing some of their products to the retail market.

We hope the wait isn’t too long for the return of this standout vegan spot in Hamilton!

Visit Bring Me Some once more before they close after Friday, May 3rd.
