Hamilton’s Bon Temps has opened a neighbourhood bottle shop

One of Hamilton’s favourite fine dining spots is the latest to convert their restaurant into a neighbourhood bottle shop for all of your adult beverage needs.

Bon Temps, located on John South and specializing in exceptional French-Canadian cuisine in its cozy restaurant setting, is adapting to the pandemic – especially as lockdown forces the closure of all restaurant dining rooms and patios – by turning their space into a bottle shop for beer, wine, spirits, and more.

According to Dave Fauteux, owner of Bon Temps, the bottle shop will carry options such as local craft beer and consignment wines, and will be open daily from 3 pm to 11 pm, at days and times when the LCBO is closed.

The restaurant will also be providing takeout food, so you can grab some delicious bites with your boozy selections, and there are plans to offer bottled cocktails in January.

“The Corktown neighbourhood doesn’t have an easy-access liquor store,” explains Fauteux. “We want to be that.”

Bon Temps’ bottle shop opens to the public beginning tonight at 3 pm and will be open daily from 3 pm to 11 pm going forward. Follow the restaurant on social media for more!
