Matthew McConaughey shouts out Hamilton hot sauce company on Hot Ones

The mega YouTube juggernaut that pins a celebrity’s taste buds up against some of the hottest sauces in the world has a little taste of Hamilton this season. 

Hot Ones is an incredibly popular YouTube series where host Sean Evans asks celebrities questions while they both eat wings smothered in different hot sauces.

This week’s episode had Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey test himself against a platter of wings that had an increasing number of scoville units after each question. 

While fielding questions about his career from Evans, and battling some of the spiciest sauces around, McConaughey took a moment to show some love to Hamilton business Dawson’s Hot Sauce. 

McConaughey stopped the interview to admire the label on the bottle of Dawson’s Hot Sauce and after tasting it said “that’s a winner already” moving it in front of the camera to show the host Evans. 

Dawson’s Hot Sauce first appeared on Hot Ones in season five with their original sauce starting their relationship with celebrity tastebuds. And during the current season, Dawson’s Hot Sauce has their shawarma sauce featured on the show. 

Hot Ones is currently in Season 13 on YouTube with the Hamilton hot sauce being in the line-up for most of the episodes. You can watch McConaughey talk about Dawson’s Hot Sauce here.
