New cannabis shop Nirvana Budz is opening in Hamilton

Heads up, Hamilton: a new cannabis dispensary and retailer is set to open its doors soon in Stoney Creek, and it’s already generating quite the buzz.

The new shop is called Nirvana Budz, and it’s got its signage in place for an anticipated forthcoming opening in the plaza at 141 Highway 8, right near the Beer Store and Fiesta Mall.

Hamilton has 48 retail cannabis licence applications being processed by the AGCO. Where exactly are these potential pot shops?

The store has submitted an application to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and, though the store is still awaiting provincial approval, it has already decked out the acquired storefront’s façade with signage and sent out job postings.

If approved, Nirvana Budz will join existing retailer The Hunny Pot as another legal dispensary in the lower Stoney Creek area.

Though a website is already in place for Nirvana Budz, there’s not really much to see yet; every page on the website is under password protection, including the shop’s ‘About Me’ section.

Is Nirvana Budz poised to be a spot that sets Hamilton’s cannabis scene ablaze, or is the venture just blowing smoke? Only time will tell. But keep checking out their website and social media for updates!
