New location of buffet restaurant Mandarin opens in Hamilton

The wait is over: Hamilton’s newest location of the popular buffet restaurant Mandarin is open for service. 

With signage in the window promising the restaurant would be “coming soon” since summer of 2022, locals have been eagerly following progress on the city’s new Mandarin location at 1223 Barton Street East in the Centre on Barton.

Finally, the new Mandarin has officially opened its doors and loaded up its self-serve buffet stations, making this the second Hamilton location of the popular chain alongside the longstanding restaurant on Upper James Street.

Founded in 1979 in Brampton, Ontario, Mandarin has grown into a multi-location buffet restaurant operation, known for serving up Chinese-Canadian fare, soups, salads, steaks, pizza, noodle dishes, sushi, desserts, and more. 

Mandarin at 1223 Barton Street East is open seven days a week for dine-in, and reservations can be made on the restaurant’s website.
