Newly-renovated Westinghouse HQ celebrates its grand opening in Hamilton

If you’ve driven past the corner of Barton Street and Sanford Avenue lately, or attended the recent Stuffed! Christmas Market, you may have noticed some major transformations have been happening at Hamilton’s old Westinghouse building.
That’s because this local landmark, one with notable historical significance as the former Westinghouse Electric Company head office building, has been totally revitalized after years of sitting on Sanford as an empty shell.
Thanks to a partnership with Equal Parts Hospitality, the first floor of Westinghouse, now formally dubbed Westinghouse HQ, has been lovingly transformed into a gorgeous event space built to house everything from concerts to conventions to conferences. A grand opening celebration for the new space is being held on December 4th from 7 pm to 11 pm, which will feature live music, food & drink, and the chance to freely tour the brand new interior of Westinghouse.
One peek inside the newly-renovated space makes it clear that a great deal of attention has been paid to maintaining much of Westinghouse’s original integrity and classic, strikingly detailed architecture. The new space feels very modern, in a way that doesn’t betray or erase Westinghouse’s rich history.
The upper floors of the Westinghouse renovation will play host to office spaces housing businesses including McCallum Sather Architects, who were originally announced last year as the first business tenants signed on to take up residence at Westinghouse upon its completion.
