One of Canada’s tallest skyscrapers has been approved for Niagara Falls

Just a short drive off from Hamilton, popular tourist stop Niagara Falls is set to build one of Canada’s tallest condo buildings.

The Niagara Falls city council has approved the proposal for a 72-storey condominium tower, which is planned to house residential and hotel suites at its 6608 Stanley Avenue location. The unique and contemporary architectural design will stand at a total 235 metres, making it Niagara Falls’ tallest building and one of the tallest of its kind in all of Canada.

The structure’s proposed height is also notable given that Niagara Falls hasn’t previously permitted buildings to be taller than 30 storeys. The approval of the building comes along with a compromise between the developer and the city; a deal that will involve the construction company reinvesting millions of dollars back into the Niagara Falls community.

The building’s stunning design proposal will feature 465 hotel suites and 275 residential condo units that sit below amenities like a lounge, an infinity pool, and an aerial bridge. It is poised to become a striking addition to the Niagara Falls skyline, with its unique ‘bottle opener’ appearance and, of course, its singular towering height.

Though city approval of the building is officially confirmed, there are currently no public dates set for the beginning or end of construction.
