A beloved boutique chocolatier in Hamilton is bidding a bittersweet farewell.
Beanermunky Chocolate has been located at 50 King Street West in Downtown Dundas for the past 12 years, but first launched as a small business by owner Lori Eisenberger at the Hamilton Farmers’ Market in 2006.
Finely crafted artisanal chocolates, truffles, and other confectionary items are staples of this adorable Dundas shop, but these next few weeks will be the last chance to get your hands on Beanermunky’s standout treats.
The shop is set to wind down operations this summer, with the shop lease expiring this year and Eisenberger heading into a well-earned retirement.
“Any small business owner will tell you that time is the most precious of commodities,” wrote Eisenberger in an announcement on Beanermunky’s social media.
Between now and the shop’s impending closure sometime in August, Beanermunky will continue producing and selling their confections, with closing discounts and sales of equipment to follow towards the end of that month.
This exceptional chocolatier stands out as one of Downtown Dundas’ most popular small businesses, and one that will undoubtedly be deeply missed.
