Rad Pizza in Jackson Square has closed

Sad news for Hamilton pizza lovers: Rad Pizza has closed up shop in Jackson Square.

One of the more recent additions to Hamilton’s culinary scene, Rad Pizza took up residence in a sizeable space within Jackson Square Mall, on the King Street side approaching James Street.

An offshoot of its original popular food truck, the brick & mortar pizzeria endeavoured to offer a fast casual dining experience, serving up fresh, high-quality pies made with locally sourced ingredients alongside house salads and a selection of local craft beer and wine.

Loyal Rad Pizza patrons were dismayed and more than a little heartbroken to have found the space locked up and permanently closed this week, after less than a year in business at Jackson Square.

In a comment on Steeltown Chowdown’s Instagram account, Rad Pizza noted that even though the pizzeria had a loyal fan base and strong concept, Jackson Square didn’t turn out to be the most viable spot to host a successful location.

Here’s hoping that means the brains behind Rad Pizza are dreaming and scheming on another similar venture in a more promising local spot for the future!
