Someone robbed Hamilton’s Merk Snack Bar over the weekend

One of Hamilton’s outstanding food & drink spots was the victim of a robbery this weekend.
Merk Snack Bar, located in the Crown Point neighbourhood at 189 Ottawa Street North, is best known for its fun menu of tapas bites, cocktails, and craft beers served in a relaxed setting.
Sadly, the bar shared the unfortunate news that their alleyway storage container had been broken into by at least one individual, who stole plenty of valuable gear including a keg fridge, two tapped kegs, multiple backup kegs, a speaker, a Bluetooth adapter, and a gas canister.
The incident occurred a mere two months after another mystery individual vandalized Merk’s outdoor lighting and power supply.
“We’re so sad right now. It’s two months almost to the date, of our lights & power supply being cut,” wrote Merk Snack Bar in an Instagram post. “Now, we have experienced an even larger violation of trust in this community.”
Locals are asked to keep their eyes out for any potential sightings of Merk’s stolen items, including for-sale listings.
