Stipleys Barbershop has opened its doors in Hamilton

Following months of lockdowns and closures, Hamiltonians are surely clamouring to get a spot in the barber’s chair for a fresh, much-needed haircut.

Thankfully, a brand new barbershop has added itself to the city’s list, and it’s now officially open in the Stipley neighbourhood.

Stipleys Barbershop, which just opened its doors on Friday, July 2nd, is a small independent barber service headed by Joel Cumby, who has some serious cred in the industry already.

Cumby was previously a fixture at Hamilton’s well-loved and highly regarded Crows Nest Barbershop, but made the decision earlier this year to leave the shop behind and chase his decade-long dream of opening up his own.

Just a few months later, that dream has come to fruition, with Stipleys Barbershop officially open at 959 King Street East and already booking cuts at a rapid rate.

Though the shop is brand new, locals can be assured that the opening of Stipleys Barbershop comes along with well-honed craftsmanship and industry experience at the helm.
