Kronos Quartet, an acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning American string quartet that tackles a wide array of music styles and genres from classical to pop to folk and beyond, is bringing its virtuosic talents to a special two-performance engagement at McMaster University.
Presented by McMaster’s Socrates Project in partnership with the School of the Arts and the Faculty of Science, Kronos Quartet will be performing Sun Rings, a piece by American composer Terry Riley that’s inspired by sounds and images of outer space as recorded by NASA.

As a piece of music written for string quartet and chorus, Kronos Quartet will also be joined by McMaster University and Women’s Choirs for what is sure to be a stirring, stunning evening of music.
