The top 10 Hamilton “firsts” for 2015

Seeing as this is the “Influence Issue” I have been thinking about the places and experiences that greatly influence my love of Hamilton. We all know that our ‘firsts’ are influential in so many ways and having been raised here, Hamilton has been the backdrop to some major life moments. Some are much less major. And some didn’t even make this list (the first time I realized I am too old to go to Hess). Here is a sampling.

Born and raised in Hamilton, Melissa McQueen also experiences a lot of seconds, thirds and fourths in this city. She spends her free time throwing colour-themed parties, eschewing Netflix for the library, touring BBQ joints and price matching at grocery stores. She looks forward to first time she wins the lottery, the first bite of a perfect sandwich and the first time Daj Mahballs are promote to dodgeball’s ‘A division’.
