Looking for something to do this weekend? Look no further. We’ve found a wide range of events across the city for all ages and interests to enjoy.
Here’s what’s happening in Hamilton this weekend.
Saturday
80s Themed Boat Cruise
Marty, we need to go back! Back…to the 80s!
The Hamilton Harbour Queen is travelling back through the decades with their first stop in the 80s-era. Enjoy neon and wild hair on this epic night out on the water.
This 19+ event begins boarding at 7:30 pm and will cruise the Hamilton Harbour from 8 to 11 pm. You can grab tickets on Bruha.
It’s Your Festival
This free annual festival commences Saturday and runs to Monday at Gage Park.
Saturday’s headliner is Wide Mouth Mason, following by THREE local bands on Sunday ALL from Hamilton including The Shakers, Crowbar & Teenage Head. The band Junkhouse will close out Monday’s show.

Waterdown’s OH Canada RibFest
Got a craving for BBQ food? Then the OH Canada Ribfest in Waterdown is for you.
You’ll be able to pick from six different ribbers who sell ribs (duh), pulled pork, beans and coleslaw. Some also sell chicken and/or potatoes.
The event begins Friday but will run to Monday July 2. Service begins at 11 am for the Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Please note that food vendors only accept cash!
Shania Twain
Canadian country-pop singer Shania Twain is in Hamilton for one day playing a show at FirstOntario Centre.
Remaining tickets start at $42 and you can grab them on TicketMaster.
Downtown Hamilton Ghost Walk
Care for a spook? Then check out Hamilton’s Ghost Walk.
This Saturday, tour the streets of the Core and enter into historic buildings that have some scary history behind them.
Tickets are $13.27 for adults and $6.19 for kids aged 13 and under. The tour begins at the Royal Connaught at 8:30 pm. You can book online here.
Ancaster Music & Fireworks
Ancaster is celebrating Canada Day a day early at the Old Ancaster Town Hall.
Live music begins at 7 pm and expect fireworks at 9:30 pm.
Sunday
Fireworks at Bayfront Park
Enjoy a free fireworks show at Hamilton’s Bayfront Park!
Juno Award-winning synth-rock band Dear Rouge will be among the live music acts performing Sunday before the fireworks show at 9 pm.
The firework show itself will commence shortly after at 10 pm!
The site will include food trucks, craft vendors, a family zone (at Pier 4 Park) and a craft beer and wine garden. The HSR will run free shuttles every 20 minutes between downtown (King opposite Summers Lane) and the waterfront starting at noon.
Canada Day Cocktail Party
Enjoy the fireworks at Bayfront Park from the best seat in the house — the Hamilton Harbour Queen cruise boat.
Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, a cocktail and dance the night way under the firework display.
Tickets are $65 and can be purchased through Bruha.
