It’s a wet one out there in Hamilton today, and according to weather reports, the city stands to get even wetter throughout the day.
A special weather warning issued today by Environment Canada predicts that Hamilton and the surrounding area could see as much as 40 mm of rainfall throughout Thursday.
SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT: A heat warning issued by the City of Hamilton earlier this week has ended — largely due to the heavy rain moving in and bringing a cold front with it. #HamOnt #weatherhttps://t.co/ivSWc1UGGL pic.twitter.com/abkaCBwdy3

On top of soaking the street of Hamilton, the heavy rain is expected to hit nearby Burlington, Caledonia, Dunnville, and the Haldimand and Niagara regions.
Though the wet weather may put a bit of a damper – or should I say, “damp-er” – on Hamiltonians’ outdoor plans today, it will also likely relieve some of the nasty heat and humidity the city has been experiencing since Monday.
Currently, it’s unknown when the rainfall is likely to subside, and the Friday forecast indicates the city may see thunderstorms to kick off the end of the week.
