While parents desperately try to keep their children entertained during a period of social distancing due to the pandemic, the City of Burlington has decided to close all playgrounds.
Closures include all outdoor and indoor playgrounds owned by the city. So, your neighbourhood park might not be an option to keep your family entertained for the next few weeks.
City of Burlington playgrounds are closed to the public to help prevent the spread of #COVID19. For more information, call 905-335-7600 or visit https://t.co/cORlsg0jxX #BurlON pic.twitter.com/egaID9aReA

The announcement was made on the Burlington Parks and Recreation social media pages yesterday. Closing the playgrounds is a move to help control the spread of COVID-19 as the outbreak continues to grip parts of Ontario.
Luckily, as of this moment Burlington is one municipality that has been hit the least by the coronavirus. That said, parents in the area will have to continue finding creative ways to keep their kids engaged during the shutdown of schools and other child services.
